PROJECT SCOPE
We’re pleased to announce that works carried out on behalf of Paleus Chemicals in Denaby are now complete.
This has been a fantastic project for our team from start to finish, involving extensive civils, drainage, retaining wall, concrete, and surfacing works delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard throughout.
The scope of works included:
- Concrete yard construction including excavation, Type 1 sub-base installation, and reinforced PAV2 concrete with A393 mesh
- Asphalt surfacing including excavation, sub-base, AC20 binder course, and surface course
- Permeable landscaped area with topsoil and seed
- Installation of HB2 kerbs
- Full drainage package including 150mm and 225mm surface water systems, PCC chambers, PPIC chambers, gullies, ACO channels, and filter drains
- Installation of a 220m³ attenuation tank system including excavation, sub-base, liner installation, and backfill works
- Installation of a full retention interceptor complete with high-level alarm and signal system
- Ducting alongside multiple draw pits
- Construction of retaining walls including excavation, concrete foundations, and wall construction
- Site testing and enabling works including CBR testing, surface preparation and disposal of unsuitable materials
A major advantage on this contract was the site being located right next door to our yard, allowing us to maximise efficiency, react quickly when needed, and keep the programme running smoothly from beginning to end.
We’d like to thank the team at Paleus Chemicals for the opportunity and for the positive working relationship throughout the project.
Another quality job delivered by the SGH team 👏
